National Day of 23rd March celebrated in Poland

To celebrate 23rd March, the National Day of Pakistan, a flag hoisting ceremony was held in the Embassy today. The ceremony was attended by the staff of the Embassy in person and through zoom meeting by the community members. The ceremony started with recitation of the Holy Quran. Ambassador Malik Muhammad Farooq hoisted the national flag. Messages of the President and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan were read out by the Deputy Head of Mission Naeem Sabir Khan. Trade and Investment counsellor of Pakistan embassy M. Zahid Bhatti was also present on the occasion.

Ambassador Farooq congratulated the community members on the National Day and said that the day reminded us to renew our commitment to serve our country with dedication and play our role in the progress and development of our homeland. He emphasized that struggle and sacrifices of our forefathers for independence should not be forgotten and we must work hard to achieve the cherished objectives of our ancestors to make Pakistan a strong and prosperous country. The Ambassador said that Pakistanis diaspora were a great asset for the country and are playing an important role in the economic development of our motherland. They are also instrumental in projecting the soft and true image of Pakistan and highlighting our rich and diverse culture to the Polish people.

At the end, Ambassador also briefed the community about the ramifications of Indian actions in the Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He assured the audience steadfast support of Pakistan Government and nation for the right of self-determination to the Kashmiri people. Ambassador also assured the community full support of the Embassy in the current pandemic and urged them to observe all safety precautions.
