Islamabad High Court orders to form committee to probe Khatam e Nabuwat matter

Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal appeared in Islamabad High Court (IHC) in a case hearing of Faizabad protest by a religious group.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui asked Deputty Attorney General that where is Ahsan Iqbal, he replied that minister was awakened whole night to monitor the situation of sit-in.

After reaching the court, Ahsan Iqbal told about the agreement signed with the leadership of Tehreek e Labaik Pakistan, over which Justice Shaukat remarked, “Court directed to you clear the area not to sign any agreement”.

Chief Commissioner Islamabad, told the court that everything will be cleared in upcoming hours after which judge said how long the nation has to suffer from all this.

Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan is facing security challenges. Justice Shaukat Siddiqui asked how the protesters got teargas shells and who prepared amended draft of Khatam e Nabuwat clause.

However, IHC order to form a new committe under supervision of Barrister Zafarullah ti probe Khatm e Nabuwat matter and also determine the people who are responsible for this.
