AJK’s PM Raja Farooq Haider arrives in Belgium in order to participate in ‘Kashmir-EU Week’ at EU parliament in Brussels

PM AJK Raja Farooq Haider Khan Arrives in Brussels Belgium, Ali Raza Syed welcomes him

Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has arrived in Belgium, the EU headquarters in order to participate in the programs during Kashmir EU Week in Brussels, the capital.

 Kashmir Council EU has arranged the week long events of EU Week on Kashmir which would be continued till 12th October at European Parliament in Brussels.

 The Prime Minister who is accompanied by senior Minister AJK Ch Tariq Farooq and MLA Raja Javed Iqbal, was warmly welcomed by Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed and other leading figures including Sardar Sadique, Ch Khalid Joshi, Raja Javed, Raja Imtiaz (UK) and Raja Khalid.

 After his arrival in Brussel, PM Raja Farooq Haider said, EU is an important international forum and we are trying to raise the issue of Kashmir as maximum level as here. He expressed gratitude to Kashmir Council EU for invitation in the Kashmir EU Week.

 On the occasion, Chairman Kashmir Council EU Mr Ali Raza Syed said, The ‘Kashmir EU Week’ is comprised of an International Conferences, seminars, debates and a photos and handicraft exhibition on Kashmir. Mr Ali Raza Syed said, photographs from Indian Held Kashmir produced by a noted French photographer Cédric Gerbehaye is also being presented in the exhibition which would continue till 22 October in Brussels.

 The programme is being organised by Kashmir Council EU with the collaboration of other EU based Kashmiri organisations and a large people specially members of EU parliament, experts, intellectuals, human rights activists and scholars from Europe, Pakistan and Kashmir are invited to attend the programme. Member EU parliament Dr Sajjad Karim is host of the program at EU parliament.  The annual event of Kashmir EU-Week is being arranged for many years and beside it, the council has so far held various other programmes in Europe on Kashmir conflict.

 Kashmir Council EU has so far held several programmes including conferences, seminars, meetings and debates on Kashmir and many of the programmes were arranged at European diplomatic, political, research and educational institutions.
