Spreading soft image of Pakistan through learning “Tie-Dye” in Ukraine

Pakistan Embassy in Ukraine has arranged a class for learning traditional techniques of Tie-Dye.

It is important to mention that the process of tie-dye typically consists of folding, twisting, pleating, or crumpling fabric or a garment and binding with string or rubber bands, followed by application of dye(s).

Mrs. Seema Athar, wife of Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine, Maj. Gen (r) Athar Abbas conducted the master  class of ” Tie and Dye” exhibiting various designs and their  techniques.

The class was attended by large number of ladies from cross section of society. The participants displayed keen interest in learning the art and made their individual scarves, cushions and bags in different colours and designs. Mrs. Seema’s talent and effort was duly appreciated.

The Embassy of Pakistan to Ukraine under the leadership of Ambassador Mr Athar Abbas has so far conducted several cultural exchange events promoting the soft image of Pakistan and its versatile cultures.
