“Best Player of 2018 Award” in Norway, It’s my team achievement, Says Tajamal Shah

A Norwegian Pakistani cricketer received a prestigious award “Best Player of 2018” in Norway. Syed Tajamal Hussain Shah won this honour due to his extra ordinary performance in cricket league Norway held from May to September this year.

A graceful ceremony was held last week in Ski town near Oslo, the capital city, where this award was presented to the Norwegian Pakistani player by Secretary General of Norwegian Cricket Federation Ms Gry Bruaas.

Tajamal Hussain Shah, who is vice captain of his team “Nation Cricket Club” Norway said that he is thankful to almighty Allah for this honour, which is also due to blessings of his parents and cooperation of other members of his team.

According to Norwegian Cricket Federation, Tajamal H. Shah took five wickets in one over including a hatrick in a T-20 match during the Norway’s cricket league. In this match, he threw four overs (max allowed) caused 21 runs and took seven wickets.

Secondly, in a 45 over match (another match) of the tournament, he threw total 54 balls and 47 of these balls became dot balls, which is a surprising performance in the cricket. The federation sources said, this is an historic achievement in the cricket.

34 year old Tajamal Shah, who is playing cricket in Norway for last 16 years, so far received several prestigious awards due to this unusual performance in the cricket. These awards are included best baller award of 2016 by Norwegian Cricket Federation and best baller award of 2017 by his own cricket club in Norway. In a message to the youth, he said, Norwegian Pakistani youth should join sports in order to make their life healthy and vigorous.
